I am a pinball machine collector in a past life and I’ve proudly supported the yearly Pin-A-Go-Go charity pinball shows which benefit local youth charities. I also contributed to an article on the Monopoly pinball machine many years ago now. I’ve found that owning pinball machines provides several useful benefits such as honing my soldering skills and improving my patience. I have also found that sharing my pins with others who are not familiar with pins can bring great joy as they discover the visceral sensation of playing something they can physically interact with in ways that a controller can never fully emulate. Pinball is no longer a primary focus now that TASBot content has seeped in but it’s good to have them set up for various folks to play all the same.
